Honest Lies: a transhumanist love poem
Tell me sweet lies, if you please,
the ones that bring me to my knees.
I’ll trade a brutal truth for honest lies.
Make them so real, I can’t deny.
Tell me the lies I need to hear,
the ones that overpower death and fear.
I need the stories that you tell,
the ones that bind monsters from hell.
Tell me honest lies so divine,
and I’ll worship the holy shrine.
Promise me time, promise me eternity,
then deliver that promise with me.
Lord, take me!
I'm going crazy.
Don’t make me wait,
I don’t trust fate.
Give me life.
Do it right.
Let’s turn the tide.
We have to try.
Come, tell me your sweetest lies.
Let me have them from every side.
I want to hear honest lies from you,
and together, let’s make them true.
