Always and Forever

Always and Forever

My love may seem mad, a little insane,
but honestly, you’re the one to blame.
Your love is a drug. I need it to be tame.
I’m a user for life—no plans to abstain.
I let down my guard with triple sec in my veins.
I’ll breathe with you through these growing pains.

I’m willing to suffer, so long as I suffer with you.
I’ll even hold your hand as you get a tattoo.
All I need is your touch to turn my skin a different hue.
You make me blush so deep, all that's red turns blue.
But when my time comes, and I’m next in the queue,
Put me in the coffin, always with you.

I can see our kin in black suits and ties,
mourning the loss of all that died,
I hope they choose to call on powers on high,
and give life to the love between you and I.
I’m only coming back with you by my side.
I said “always and forever”—that wasn’t a lie.

Together, we’ll choreograph the truth,
inspired by the stories of our youth.
I refuse death’s bitter fruit.
Let love lead us to the proof.
I know it’s not an easy pursuit,
but forever means nothing unless I’m with you.
