Rainbow Y

In the night, there is a rainbow Y
shinning hope on the mountain side.
Love is here―no longer disguised,
reaching beyond past divides.

Silence the shouting happening outside,
listen to the still small voice inside.
The Holy Spirit affirms and provides―
you are worthy of love, respect, and pride.

Never stop asking your sacred whys―
sifting truth from countless lies.
Queer generations are here to abide,
You’re not alone―you have a kind.

Keep your chin up, toward the sky.
Rainbow lights are soaring high.
Listen closely to this lullaby,
from a queer mother here to clarify:

It’s time to dry those precious eyes,
of the numberless tears you have cried.
Here with me, you don’t have to hide
that holy queerness burning inside.

You are sent from a home on high.
Your godly worth, I am here to testify.
Our earthly world is beautified,
with every rainbow high in the sky.
