Sunstone Symposium: Queer Mormon Theology

Blaire Ostler's ground breaking book Queer Mormon Theology is changing Latter-day Saints' relationship with queerness. Though queerness and Mormonism seem like oppositional categories, she demonstrates an orthodox compatibility between the two. She argues that there is an inherent queerness within Mormon theology and that the inclusion of LGBTQ+ Saints in modern orthopraxy is the natural consequence of our robust theology. She, along with distinguished panel members, will discuss queer theology within a faithful, yet also revolutionary framework. Following the panel discussion will be a Q&A.
